Chivas Royal Salute 21 Years

Royal Salute was created to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and has a longstanding affinity with polo, the sport of kings.
In celebration of the shared values with the game of skill, honor, and grace, Royal Salute will bring to life this long-standing relationship through a collection of limited editions dedicated to the iconic destinations where the noble sport is played.
The fourth edition of this collection pays homage to Argentina, which is universally recognized as the 'home of polo'.
The sport has a fascinating history originating in what was once Persia. It spread to China and India, where the British discovered the sport in the late 19th century. The British went on to establish the rules of the modern game and its popularity grew particularly amongst the nobility and royalty. Polo was also enthusiastically adopted in Argentina where the people's love of the sport has never waned.
Polo and Argentina are a perfect fit: Argentina has a strong equestrian tradition with its gaucho culture. The grassy expanse of the Oampas offers spectacular scenery and the estancias, nestled beneath towering eucalyptus trees, are the perfect place to enjoy a polo match under the warmth of the Argentinian sun.
Inspired by Argentina's fine Malbec wines, Royal Salute's Master Blender Sandy Hyslop has created a 21YO bespoke blend, fully finished in Malbec casks from Argentina. The result is a perfectly paired, rich, and velvety smooth liquid overlaid with dark berry notes and a delicate cinnamon spice in the background.
