Herzog Generation IX
every grape has a story. The Fruit of Stage Leap is a story of volcanic eruptions and ancient rivers. of sloping hills bathed in glowing sunlight and the cooling chill of mountain breezes. the soil blends loam and clay sediments of the Napa River with volcanic deposits from the Vaca mountains. this rich and free-draining earth gives cabernet vines strong and deep roots. yielding distinct clusters of world-renowned.
It is with this spectacular wine that we welcome the ninth generation of our family story, a winemaking heritage passed down from father to son over hundreds of years. from the royal courts of the austro-hungarian Empire to the rolling vineyards of California- our story is a pursuit of excellence. we hope that you celebrate your own story with the wine. To that, we say "L'chaim"!
Generation IX cabernet sauvignon opens up with vivid sun-ripened boysenberries and blueberries simmered in black cherry liquor. hints of blackcurrant blossoms and rose petals weave gracefully through notes of warm cinnamon and star anise, while lush tannins support a nearly infinite finish.
